A Legend is Reborn

Evil Eyes: The Mummy is a post The Mummy Returns Role Playing Game set a year after the climax of the series. It tells the tale of the Karawan Amulets, two powerful amulets created by the Egyptian Gods Hathor and Set for Pharaoh Seti I.

When anarchy arises in the ancient world, Pharaoh Seti I commands the amulets to transport themselves into 1934. With Imhotep and Anck-su-namun resurrected by the Medjai's ancestral enemies the Djed, history is beginning to repeat itself as new participants are summoned to partake in a deadly globetrotting race. As each team globetrots, they'll unlock ancient secrets, unearth magical artifacts, and the ancient lore behind the 19th Dynasty's ancient Egyptian royal family will unravel to them.

So remember: choose your side wisely, for history and the fate of humanity is hanging in the balance!

The past couple of days many of you would probably have noticed that EE was broken. The problem lied with something that I inaccurately did with the upgrade, but things are sort of fixed now. However, you'll notice that off the bat that certain mods and features aren't working. Please bear with me for a little while as I try to get things running to the way it once was. I'm not guaranteeing how long it'll take as I'm back in college, but it'll be fixed ASAP.

Upon decision I decided to make the adoptions forum guest friendly. Guests are now able to reply to character requests to ask questions about characters, but they can't start their own adoption threads. Keep an eye out on your adoption threads - if a guest decides to ask a question, it's within your jurisdiction to answer them.

Furthermore, the help desk now permits guests to start new topics instead of replying to an existing topic. Prefixes have been installed for clarification of whether or not the topic's been solved or pending.

Today the WIP board was removed as we're implementing a new system. From now on, all WIPs must be posted in the main character creation board and have a prefix of either [WIP] or [Ready for Review]. This notify's the staff of your application's status, and eliminating the need to have more than one character creation board.

Furthermore, it must be noted that all applications will have their status changed to their faction upon acceptance for easier management instead of upon submitting the application. Any questions that you might have regarding this new system feel free to submit questions in the help desk!

Earlier today while working in the ACP, I noticed that certain forum permissions weren't what it should've been. For instance, guests couldn't post in help desk, and there were some permission masks completely turned off throughout the forum. This weekend I'll be going around and checking all the permission masks for the forum, even recreating them if I have to in order t o ensure that everything's working properly.

You should be able to post in the RP forums regardless, but you might notice that you'll be unable to post in some areas for X amount of time until this is resolved.

EDIT:
This issue's been resolved. :D If you guys encounter any problems, let me know!

I'll be experimenting for the next week on our registration settings. It's nothing major (actually, some of you might like it!) but we're disabling email validation temporarily. If we receive no spam bot registrations during this time, we'll remain email-validation free, but if we receive spam bot registrations we'll re-enable email validation.

However, I will emphasize that there're some issues regarding Hotmail as it doesn't receive board emails. Therefore if you're going to register, do not use Hotmail or anything from Windows Live.

You'll also notice that if you go to My CP > Personal Profile > Edit Profile that you'll find a new feature! This feature is called "character notes" where you can add in practically any IC related notes that you'd like to inform others of. For instance, things like what certain font weights symbolize (emphasis, different language, etc.) can be noted here.

However, I will address now that this feature when filled out will ONLY appear in your account profile, so to see someone else's notes, you have to click on their profile!
