Artifacts

Magical and non-magical artifacts found within The Mummy and The Mummy Returns are elaborated on here, regardless of their status. It must be emphasized that unless otherwise stated, no one should have these artifacts in their possession.

Made out of solid gold and brass-hinges, the Book of Amun Ra is able to take the life of the living and the powers of an immortal. Initially it was located inside a statue of Horus at Hamunaptra, and when the cultists unearthed the book, it journeyed with them to Ahm Shere and it was lost there. However, after the Scorpion King's defeat, Set transported the book back to its original resting place.

Made out of brass-hinges and pure obsidian, the Book of the Dead's outward appearance is identical to the Book of Amun-Ra. Like its twin, it can only be opened with a key, and it was originally located inside a statue of Anubis at Hamunaptra in a wooden chest. When the cultists in The Mummy Returns unearthed the book, it traveled with them to Ahm Shere and it was lost there, but Set transported the book back to its original resting place in 1934.

The Book of the Dead consists of spells, hymns, and instructions on how to resurrect the dead, and it's frequently used to resurrect Imhotep.

The Bracelet of Anubis is a navigational device meant to locate the Oasis of Ahm Shere, and it does this by emitting vivid holographic images to its user. While wearing the bracelet, the user has seven days to locate Ahm Shere and get inside the Scorpion King's pyramid; otherwise the bracelet will take their life on the seventh day.

The bracelet's protected by Nefertiri, but in modern times it's protected by her reincarnation Evelyn O'Connell, who unearthed it in a temple in Thebes constructed by Imhotep himself. The bracelet was used to awaken the Army of Anubis and it was lost at Ahm Shere.

The Spear of Osiris was the only weapon able to kill the Scorpion King. According to legend, it would grant the Scorpion King's killer one wish when they pierced it through his chest: they could either use it to take command of his army, or send it back to the Underworld. After Rick O'Connell used it to kill the Scorpion King, it was lost at the Ahm Shere.
