thirtyish. male. warrior. djed. jason momoa. submitted by lee.
Akhom Menma'atre is known amongst the Djed for three things: his
appetite for the drink, his huge laugh, and his prowess on the
battlefield. Akhom is a fine warrior and, furthermore, he knows
it, which makes him rather boisterous and something of a
showboat; in the words of his leader and long-time friend Sutekh,
"...his mouth usually runs like a gazelle." But to his credit,
Akhom can walk the walk as well as he can talk the talk, so those
who dismiss his considerable martial talents because of his mouth
do so at their own peril.

Anum ---- Qeb
|
forty-six. male. warrior / trainer. djed. djimon
hounsou. submitted by elle.
Anum has been the member of the Djed from a young age. He's a
hardened, experience warrior and is one of the few that helps
train the younger recruits. He's incredibly scary and
intimidating at first sight - one would definitely not want to
get on his bad side. He's also a loyal, trustworthy fellow who
will do anything for his comrades and has proven himself time and
time again in battle. Anum never doubts Sutekh and is likely one
of his most fierce loyalists - then again, he suffers from
following out of blind faith even after all his time as a
warrior; perhaps he needs to realize that at times it's alright
to question an order.

Imenand --- Runihura
|
thirtyish/fortyish. male. councilor. djed. billy
zane. submitted by lee.
Imenand would make a fine politician - he's handsome, charming,
ambitious, and slicker than an oil spill - and as one of the
sitting Djed elders, he is. When subtle opposition crops up in
regards to the Djed council, one usually finds Imenand at the
center of it. With his wily nature, he has a knack for putting
the pieces and seeing the big picture; he alone has made the
connection between his chieftain's strange visions and their
parallels with story of pharaoh Seti I
as immortalized in Djed lore. Naturally, he has mostly kept this
theory surreptitiously to himself. But with the recent resurrection of the priest
Imhotep and his lover
Anck-su-namun, it was Imenand who advised
them to present themselves as loyal courtiers and allies of the
reincarnated pharaoh. In the end, few people know what Imenand is
thinking and plotting; but at the end, he sees himself at the
top.

Khalfani ---- Sahusakhet
|
thirty-six. male. chieftain. djed. Sahusakhet. Marat Safin. submitted by sanny.
After the death of Khenti Sahusakhet, chieftain of the Sahusakhet
tribe, Khalfani took his father's position as the eldest of the
Sahusakhet children and subsequently the heir, and rose to power
in the midst of chaos. He proved to be a solid source for the
tribe, barring his only remaining sibling Tuya, for whom he
shares a mutual aversion with since teenhood. Sutekh, on the
other hand, is a valuable asset to Khalfani – he doesn't
quite agree with the prospect of raising unholy creatures from
the dead to walk the earth, but he does see Sutekh's
leadership as an opportunity for power and a chance to properly
align himself.

thirty-two. female. domestic. djed. Bahar Soomekh or Salma
Hayek. submitted by sanny.
Kiya is a native of the Djed clan with the common
responsibilities of a woman. After all, she is a domestic. Sure,
her ways of a woman are a little rough, but she is jovial.
However, Kiya loves to gossip, especially with her childhood
friend, Tuya. Since they were mere toddlers, the two had known
each other and learned to become like sisters. Mostly the two are
inseperable and are rarely seen without one another. She gets all
of the insight of what is currently happening within her tribes
thanks to their gossip and always know the latest rumors. Despite
this, Kiya is still a hard worker and never slacks off in doing
her duties. She is dedicated to what she does, and one day wishes
to become a mother.

Meti ---- Wasret

|
twenty-nine. male. 007. Djed. Meketharu. Emile Steenveld. submitted by sanny and lee.
Meti has always been the black sheep of the [insert family name
here], a much-honored clan of the Meketharu tribe. Such a shadow
on his early life made him somewhat prone to disloyalty and a
rather shady character who is easily distrusted. So while he
managed to become a sworn warrior of the Djed ranks, during one
his first battles, Meti was captured by the enemy. Before he was
released, the young warrior made a deal with the Bey himself; in
exchange for his life, he agreed to act as Bey's eyes and ears
amongst the Djed, for it was clear Meti is sharp individual who
always keeps his wits about him. Thus, in the present, this spy
doesn't quite prefer to stick to one side for too long - he seems
to have trouble in pledging allegiance to anyone but himself.
Unbeknownst to him, Meti is the reincarnation of Ramses II, and
with his current status, no doubt this is going to create a
problem for those around him.

Shakira ---- Ouaiti
|
twentyish/thirtyish. female. trader, part-time recon
collector. djed. leïla bekhti. submitted by lee.
Born the daughter of herders, Shakira always figured she'd spend
her life amongst the camels. Things changed drastically when she
was apprenticed to a Djed trader, a gentleman named Sheut, as she
entered adolescence. She now spends much of her time spent
between the Djed main camps and traveling from oasis to oasis and
city to city acquiring rare goods her people do not or cannot
make themselves; thus, she is one of the most widely-traveled
individuals in the whole tribe. It's for this reason that she is
chief amongst Sutekh's spies in the outside world. Other than
that, Shakira's bargaining skills are second to none and she is
one well-connected lady - she knows all sorts of people in
weird/strange/high places.

Teremun --- Jabari
|
twentyish. male. warrior. djed. wentworth miller. submitted by lee.
Teremun is descended from a string of legendary Djed warriors
from both sides of his family tree. As one might guess, he grew
up dreaming of glory and eagerly looked forward to the day when
it might be his. Now that he's reached manhood and has recently
been sworn into the ranks of the Djed warriors, he's eager to
prove himself. During arms training and the few skirmishes
against the Medjai he's been involved in, he's all business. But
for the most part he's young, brash and exuberant, not to mention
an outgoing practical joker with an oddball sense of humor.
Teremun has proved himself as promising warrior material, but at
the same time he's still green enough not to know better than to
look forward to battle.
