The Oasis of Ahm Shere

The Oasis of Ahm Shere is the resting place of the Scorpion King, the Army of Anubis and pygmy mummies. It was formed after the Scorpion King made a pact with Anubis to spare his life. When the Scorpion King completed his goal, Anubis forced him into servitude for eternity. Ahm Shere will appear once every 5,000 years and it will vanish into the sands once the Scorpion King is defeated.

The Battle of Ahm Shere

The Battle of Ahm Shere was fought between various factions and was the finale of The Mummy Returns.

After their arrival at the Oasis of Ahm Shere and escaping the cultists and pygmy mummies, the O'Connells managed to get Alex inside the Scorpion King's pyramid so that he could remove the Bracelet of Anubis from his wrist. However, when Evelyn arrived Anck-su-namun sneakily stabbed her in the abdomen, killing her as a result. The O'Connell family mourned whilst Imhotep and Anck-su-namun went inside the Scorpion King pyramid. Imhotep had lost his godly abilities after realizing that the God Anubis wanted him to fight as a mortal.

When Rick was prepared to fight, he entered the pyramid and found Baltus Halfez. Baltus had just awakened the Army of Anubis, and in the Sahara desert the Medjai warriors prepared for battle against the Anubis warriors. Rick then managed to find the Scorpion King's lair and fights against Imhotep, and during this time, Alex managed to resurrect Evelyn while Jonathan fought against Anck-su-namun.

After her resurrection, Evelyn took Jonathan's place and battled against Anck-su-namun using sais, continuing their own battle from 3,000 years ago. Jonathan and Alex leave to help Rick, and Rick managed to discover that the Spear of Osiris was meant to kill the Scorpion King. They manage to get the Spear of Osiris to open, and when Jonathan attempts to throw it, he misses and Imhotep catches it. In an attempt to kill the Scorpion King himself, Imhotep demands control of his army, but he also misses - instead, Rick catches the spear before it can pierce through the Scorpion King's chest, demanding that the Scorpioon King and his army return to Hell.

During this time Evelyn and Anck-su-namun finish their battle, and the Medjai are preparing for another segment of Anubis warriors. Rick successfully killed the Scorpion King and Evelyn and Anck-su-namun arrive to aid their loved ones. As debris falls from the rooftops of the pyramid, Imhotep and Rick nearly fall into a pit that leads to Hell. Unlike Anck-su-namun who flees despite Imhotep's cry for help, Evelyn risks her life to aid Rick. The O'Connell family manage to escape the pyramid subsequently after allows himself to fall into the pit.

With the Medjai warriors victory, they watch from afar as the Oasis of Ahm Shere begins to vanish. When the O'Connell family is safe, they head back to England after saying goodbye to Ardeth Bey.
